CORPORATIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILTY The goal of this THREE-DAY (March 28, 29 and 30) immersion course is to broaden and deepen awareness among students of the pressing problems inherent in the area of corporate environmental responsibility. Specific course issues and topics include: * The role of corporations in environmental sustainability * Public policies, corporations, energy consumption and the environment * Environmental protection and stewardship and the obligations of corporations * Multinational corporations and environmental responsibility * Transparent business practices: Measuring, reporting and auditing environmental impact * Toward the greening of business: corporate and environmental sustainability * Environmental responsibility and the corporate bottom line Presentations during the course will be made by corporate and NGO executives as well as CMU faculty.
